Our Clothing Fun Drive

Our Clothing Fun Drive

In December, our group had a fundraiser and gathered clothes and household goods. Everything we collected we gave to Value Village. The money we make is going to an indigenous and environmental charity. We held the fun drive because clothes are one of the many things that are put in landfill if they are not reused. We collected 800 lbs of clothes. That is 800 pounds less in the landfill. Did you know that it takes 2,700 litres of water to make one t-shirt. We saved about 9,180,000 litres of water! Our fun drive, we held our fun drive at a craft show held at our school St.Anne. At the same show, we had the jellybean contest. Were you can read all about it on one of the other blogs. The craft show was on November 26. We had a fun drive to raise money and awareness for climate change and indigenous issues. Helping indigenous communities means giving them enough school funds and supplies and not ignoring their problems. And helping the climate means caring for our environment and not littering the ocean, earth, or air.
